Soufriere Creole Jazz is now a staple on the Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts calendar.
With headliners like Jah Cure, the Bouillion Pioneers (formerly WCK) out of Dominica, Avot Servis and Teddyson John, Soufriere Creole Jazz 2015 is set to be an event to remember.
Public Relations Officer for Soufriere Creole Jazz 2015, Candy Nicholas, said the event will boost the town’s economy.
“With a line up like that and for an event of that magnitude, I have absolutely no doubt that there is going to be a large influx of people coming into the town. Judging from last year, the residents were very happy with the economic activity that was generated. So we expect, not just the same, but an even better boost to our micro economy here in Soufriere.” Nicholas added that arrangements have been made with the Vieux Fort and Gros Islet Minibus Associations to facilitate access to the town. Additionally, Hackshaws Boat Cruises will be ferrying patrons to the event.
Soufriere Creole Jazz will be held on May 1, at the Soufriere Mini Stadium.
