Organizers will host the bazaar annually, following a hiatus due to the Sep. 2009 fire.

The St Jude Hospital has expressed gratitude to the public for its support of the hospital’s fundraising bazaar.

Organizers hope the bazaar will reclaim its place on the annual calendar of activities in Vieux Fort, following a hiatus stemming from the Sep. 2009 fire.

Patrons began arriving well before the advertised start time of 6 a.m., to take advantage of the flea market where items were sold for as little as fifty cents. The bazaar made a seamless transition to entertainment activities for children and adults later in the day.

Adults also got a chance to win cash prizes through an exciting Bingo game that included a jackpot draw of $1000. Later in the evening, the crowd was entertained with performances by a number of popular artists from the south.

On May 30, St Jude Hospital will host a grand raffle with attractive prizes such as round trip airline tickets, hotel stays, appliances and more. Tickets for the raffle are available for purchase at the hospital.

The bazaar was held at the George Odlum Stadium.
