THE LOBSTER FISHERY WILL BE CLOSED FROM MARCH 1 TO AUGUST 1.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Rural Development informs the general public that the lobster fishery will be closed from Saturday, March 1, 2025 to Friday, August 1, 2025, both days inclusive.
During closure of the lobster fishery, no person shall harm, give, receive from anyone, or at any time have in his/her possession, expose for sale, sell or purchase any lobster or lobster parts.
Contravention of these regulations is subject to a maximum fine of EC$5000.00.
The Department seeks the cooperation of everyone and encourages members of the public to report to the Marine Police Unit, District Police Stations or the Department of Fisheries, any person or establishment found contravening the Lobster Fishery regulations.
